About the Supplier: This award-winning Fair Trade, organic single estate tea is the first certified biodynamic tea in the world. Hampstead Tea is harvested from the Makaibari estate in Darjeeling, India. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas at 3000-4000 feet above sea level, it is at the perfect height for tea growing.

Fair Trade at Makaibari is a way of life. It is not just about certification. Each individual works with dignity and devotion to the land they were born on. Proceeds from tea sales fund social development programs, including village electrification, education initiatives and medical care.
