This fairy jar is a charming solar powered, eco-friendly gift for all those who need a little bit of magic in their lives. Simply leave the jar in a sunny position and let the fairies collect the sunshine ready to use as darkness falls. When its dark the Fairy Jar automatically comes to life, alternatively shake the jar to wake ‘the fairies’ up and enjoy an enchanting display of sparkling lights. With a handle attached you can hang the fairy jar almost anywhere, it makes a perfect mesmerising garden light or eco-friendly night light for a kid’s bedroom.
Captured inside the jar are a highly efficient solar cell, rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamps. When the jar is placed in sunlight the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the LED lamps inside the jar. The light is diffused by the frosted jar and contains 6 LED lights that twinkle which give the appearance of fairies. There is also an override switch inside the lid to turn off the light at night and conserve battery life.
The jar will still work on the dullest of days with standard AA batteries, so you can always delight in the captivating glow.
