I used this in one garden and the birds had no interest anywhere I put it and due to its shape the peanuts went mouldy faster than usual. I used it in another more woodland garden and it was well used, and was not damaged by the attentions of squirrels unlike other feeders - generally a sturdy item except that the chain comes off fairly often. In a third garden, it is being used but the peanuts again seem to moulder more quickly than in a cylindrical feeder. It is not so suitable as ordinary peanut feeders for using with fat nibbles instead.
