The Enviroplug is an energy-saving adapter that turns your mobile phone charger off when the battery is fully charged. You can put your phone on charge overnight, safe in the knowledge it will be turned off magically once your phone battery is fully charged.
So how does it work?
Plug your phone charger into the Enviroplug. It will detect when your battery is full or if your mobile isn’t connected – in either of those cases the power to charger is switched off.
So will it save me money?
If you use a typical mobile phone charger and you leave it plugged in and turned on all the time, you could cut the amount of electricity it uses by up to 90%. Depending on the electric tariff you’re on, it should pay for itself with 18 months.
If you charge your phone overnight, it will be charged in an hour or so and then left connected unnecessarily for a further seven hours. Many people leave their phone charger plugged in and switched on all the time too.
Will it work with other devices?
No – it is only suitable for mobile chargers.
