Touchstone Merlot (Chile) - Benchmark Merlot from the ultra-talented Alvaro Espinoza, who can certainly get an astonishing amount of flavour from his grapes. Full of smooth, jammy black cherry and plum fruits it has good length too.
Cotes du Rhone Chateau Rochecolombe (Rhone, France) - Classic Rhone style and serious value for money. Full of black fruits and serious black pepper spice make this a wine to enjoy anytime.
Nuevo Mundo Carmenere (Maule Valley, Chile) - From South America’s first carbon neutral winery, full-bodied with dense brambly fruits and that classic herbaceous, blackcurrant leaf character that typifies carmenere.
Natural Star shiraz (South Africa) - Fruit-packed and gently spicy red wine that aims to please and, most certainly delivers.
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Jasci (Italy) - Mature red fruits, jams, and slight notes of cinnamon and vanilla are the inviting qualities in this robust central Italian red. The Jasci family themselves suggest drinking it with a plate of potato gnocchi or pasta with beans.
Stellar No Added Sulphur Cabernet Sauvignon (South Africa) - No sulphites are added to this soft, blackberry-fruited Cabernet Sauvigon. We call this a low sulphur wine because in tests 'normal' wines can have as much as 200 parts per million of sulphur whilst this - which has no added sulphur - has just 3 parts per million.
This selection of wines are suitable for vegans.
