Like a dream! I've used a solar shower for a number of years. One pack full will wash, including hair wash, me plus 2 children. You need to hold them up high, to get the shower effect, and when full of water it's heavy, so the top of a car or van is both good height, strong enough to hold it and usually a good place to let it absorb sub and warm up the water. If you can find some insulating material - say the polystyrene pads that new fridges come in, to sit the pack on and cover it over with, your shower will retain some heat when the outside temperature has dropped. Rolls up to nothing when empty - great camping gear.

Q: How long is the hose?

Is there a safety feature? could the water overheat or would it be safe? Is there a mechanism which prevents the water from getting too hot?

A: The hose is approx 67cm long.
The product instructions advise that the solar shower is capable of attain temperatures of 48 C - so it always best to test water before using and add cold water if required. John.
