Rich and chocolaty Tempranillo from an organic vineyard.
Tasting Notes:
Made from Tinta del Pais grapes - the local name for Tempranillo. This is a big, deep, dark colour with concentrated, chocolate and cherry fruit and a toasty finish with hints of violet. This is excellent value and would accompany a good, hearty casserole or slab of steak.
More Information:
This is a relatively new domaine, founded in 2000 by the Páramo Arroyo family. They own 35 hectares of vines in the districts of El Cerro, Valtarreña and Valtostado. We met Lina Páramo who is also the winemaker at the organic fair in Narbonne. Although she speaks little English and our Spanish leaves a lot to be desired, we managed to communicate, inspired by the quality of her wines.
