Summertime Dozen

Summertime means picnics, salads and lighter dishes. It's a time to drink aromatic, crisp whites and rosés! Here is a perfect mixed case of summer wines for you to try. From Chile, two Fairtrade wines a floral Torrontes/Semillon blend and a Rose, both in screwcap and ideal for picnics. Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal match for a whole range of summer foods from asparagus to chicken and we have selected a delicious South
African one called Sagila, made by Mzokhona Mvemve, a talented winemaker (Black Economic Empowerment wine).

The reds have been chosen to go with barbequed foods. The Vina Eremos (organic) has juicy, soft fruit that will match tapas, couscous and paella. The Domaine de Combebelle red (organic and biodynamic) is a rich, gutsy wine that twins wonderfully with spicy sausages (maybe because there are wild boar in the vineyards!) while the South African Syrah from Julien Schaal will be a great match for steaks and cheese.
