Pale pink, dry rosé with mouthwatering strawberry fruit.
Tasting Notes:
This delightfully pale pink, dry rosé is full of strawberry-scented fruit with lovely texture and length. Made principally from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault with a smattering of Carignan, Vermentino and Clairette. It is a very versatile wine, delicious on its own as an apéritif or with canapés (smoked salmon would be good!) and would also make a great accompaniment for seafood, chicken, lamb and salads. In fact you could drink it with just about anything! Delicious!
More Information:
The 50 acre vineyard, planted high up on the edge of the Bandol appellation at 1000 feet altitude, forms a natural amphitheatre and enjoys its own micro-climate. Raimond de Villeneuve returned to the family domaine in 1995 having studied at various top estates including Mommessin in Burgundy. Since then he has been practising organic and biodynamic viticulture. His determined dedication to quality is reflected in his wines and is fast earning him star-status as a winemaker.
