Scented, strawberry Pinot Noir fruit from a very good, ripe vintage.
Tasting Notes:
20% off. Reduced from £14.95. Lovely strawberry-scented, gamey Pinot Noir from the warm 2003 vintage. Medium to full-bodied with great purity of fruit and a tingly, alive character! This has a good structure of tannins and goes wonderfully with a ripe, gooey cheese.
More Information:
7 kms south of Beaune sits the pretty village of Monthélie and the splendid Château de Monthélie which Eric de Suremain inherited from his grandfather in 1983. Nothing is done by halves here and Eric converted to biodynamics in 1996. The vines are now in lovely balance and this shows through in the vibrant wines that are produced.
