The Eaga Standby Strip is a next generation easy to use adapter that saves money and energy by ensuring that the standby power of the components hooked into the adapter are shut off. The 8-gang plug has two ‘always on’ socket and six peripheral sockets. The ‘always on’ socket is intended for TVs, laptops or Satellite boxes, etc, and the peripherals for devices attached to the TV, such as speakers, DVD players etc. When the appliance in ‘always on’ is set to standby, all appliances in the peripherals are automatically disconnected from the mains - instantly saving energy and money. When you switch the 'always on' appliance back on, StandbyOff automatically reconnects all other peripherals ready for use again. You never have to worry about losing your settings. The devices works perfectly with Digital set top boxes that need to be “always on” to record programs etc.
