How to claim the lower VAT rate
1. Add products to your basket as normal. All prices displayed include VAT at 17.5%, where applicable.
2. Use the code LOWERVAT voucher code when checking out
3. The code will apply a discount to your order equivalent to the new 15% VAT prices. This means a discount of 2.13% on the displayed prices.

Why is the discount 2.13% and not 2.5%?
This example illustrates how the 2.13% discount is calculated:

- The current VAT rate is 17.5%.
- On a product that sells for £100 the VAT exclusive price at the current rate of 17.5% is £85.11
- To calculate the new price including VAT at 15%, add 15% to the VAT exclusive price of £85.11. This amount is £97.87
- The new VAT rate equates to a savings of £2.13 (£100 - £97.87), or the equivalent of taking 2.13% off the original £100 price.
