Tribes Travel is a sister company to Tribes Trading. It is an award-winning, independent travel company, and globally-recognised pioneer of responsible travel. The company was founded in 1998.
From the very beginning, the company’s central tenet was to offer holidays which were inspiring to travellers, but also brought benefits to the local people, wildlife and environment of the destination.
The Tribes Foundation
The Tribes Foundation is a registered UK charity whose principle aim is to relieve the poverty of indigenous communities in areas outside of the UK which are affected by tourism. The charity backs poverty alleviation, education, cultural preservation and conservation projects within these regions.
The foundation runs a carbon offset scheme - The Travel Forest, as well as building schoolrooms, supporting health clinics, helping conservation projects, and promoting and preserving cultural heritage and diversity.
