World Teachers' Day

Posted on 3rd October 2007World Teachers' Day

We’ve all got memories of our favourite teachers and on October 5th, World Teachers Day is recognised and celebrated in over 100 countries across the world.

It’s a day to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation for the vital contribution that teachers make to education and development across the globe.

This year, the focus will be on working conditions: all around the world, WTD helps teachers, students and their communities to get the message across that better working conditions for teachers mean better learning conditions for learners.
