Stop Climate Chaos - Make Poverty History

Posted on 18th May 2007

Two years ago, world leaders were given a huge global mandate to make poverty history. Unprecedented public pressure led them to make some big promises - to increase aid, and cancel many poor countries' debts.

Germany will host the 33rd G8 summit in Heiligendamm. It’s focus will be on the struggle against poverty across the globe and the impact climate change has had on the development on some of the worlds poorest countries. As with all G8 summits, the 33rd will be protested by a variety of groups and 100,000 protesters are expected.

In 2007, the fight against poverty continues. Take action now to pressure politicians and decision makers to help make poverty history.
